Kurt Tschörner Mid-Century Ruscha rasma Orange Glazed Art Pottery Vase fat Lava

A large West-German mid-century twin handled orange glazed art pottery vase attributed to Kurt Tschörner for Rusha and dating between 1950 and 1960. The four-sided tall slab formed vase stands on a narrow unglazed rectangular shaped foot with a gradual increase in width towards the top of the vase with a pinched rounded neck and bowl shaped top with small hollowed out handles applied to either side. The vase is decorated in a matt textured orange glaze with glazed drip brown on yellow bands applied around the body with the brown glazes running over the edge in places. This very impressive vase is not marked.
